Is Biden’s Sexual Assault Charges Political Fake News?

Some members of the democratic party including women activists and Feminine groups have urged the presumed Democratic candidate Joe Biden to address the old allegations brought back to life by Ms. Reade through her Fox News interview. The democratic members who are speaking out on this matter suggest that silence from Joe Biden is not a good way to address this issue.

The New York Times has investigated Ms. Reade’s story in the past and dismissed the story as not credible and false. It has become traditional that in recent Presidential elections sexual harassment allegations have always been raised by some women. This matter has partisan political connections as Fox News which does not hide their Republican Party affiliations appears to be pushing this matter forward.

“Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has claimed a double standard in the way Democrats and the media have been slow to respond to Reade’s allegations, compared to the coverage of charges made against Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings”

This matter is a difficult one for the Democrats at this point in time. This allegation was raised during the Presidential campaign and was being pushed in the social media allegedly by Bernie Sanders supporters but most US mainstream media ignored the allegation which has now resurfaced.

Endorsements have been coming to Joe Biden, for President including that of Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama, Stacey Abrams, and many others. One Democrat said, “I stand by Vice President Biden,” Gillibrand said. “He has devoted his life to supporting women, and he has vehemently denied this allegation.” Many people believe this is nothing but political witch-hunting at play here.

One Democrat said, “Despite any silence from Democrats, or whatever we feel about Joe Biden, there is only one moral choice in this election, and that is to work to get Trump out of office,” said Swirling. “I would never tell survivors they need to vote for someone that they’re uncomfortable voting for, but electing the Democratic nominee is imperative as a matter of harm reduction.”
